JOHN D. WALLS - THE CHEF
Hailing from White Rock, BC, Chef John D Walls fell in love with cooking at a young age. While experimenting in the kitchen, he knew he wanted to be a Chef.
John has had an extensive, exciting career from starting out at 14 under the mentorship of talented Chefs, working in primarily white table cloth French restaurants leading to the opening of his own restaurant when he was 19. John’s experiences includes working as a Chef at sea, on board a live-aboard yacht, The William Tel and various other fine dining establishments. After being a part of Domaine de Chaberton’s award winning Bacchus Bistro since 2004, John is now the Chef/Owner of House of Walls Culinary Magic. Providing private chef and catering services for all occasions, bringing back the art of the dinner party. John sees it as a privilege cooking and being a part of people’s special occasions. House of Walls is a family run business where the love and passion of cooking for others is shared with Johns three children.
John’s cooking philosophy is based on using quality ingredients and proper use of cooking techniques and heat transfer. John’s favourite ingredients are the use of salt and acid, to finish dishes.
